Even if a Dornbracht fitting is not generally available in a specific finish, it is still possible to get the desired finish. Our department “x-TRA SERVICE” can combine any fitting and finish in Dornbracht’s selection. Additional finishes and colors can be applied to a fitting on request after the production possibilities have been checked. Please contact your local dealer. 

Products currently available in matte black are the series TARA ULTRA, TARA CLASSIC, TARA and META 02. At this time, the finish black matte cannot be ordered with other series such as SYNC, as their design does not allow for additional coating layers to be applied. 

Dornbracht's range of sinks includes a total of three materials, all of which harmonize perfectly with your Dornbracht fitting. You can choose between
 - Enameled steel kitchen sinks (available in six versions: matte black, black glossy, matte white, white glossy, sand matte and sand glossy
- Polished stainless steel kitchen sinks
- Brushed stainless steel kitchen sinks 
Please note that overflow covers in these sinks are delivered in platinum matte.

For daily cleaning use a mild, nonabrasive liquid cleaner, for example one that is alcohol-based. If there is any limescale build-up despite daily cleaning, it should be removed with a mild citric acid-based cleaner. Under no circumstances should cleaning agents or detergents with an abrasive effect (scouring agents, microfiber cloths, pads, etc.) be used, as these can damage the finish and impair functions. Furthermore, the cleaning agents used must not contain any volatile acids such as hydrochloric acid, formic acid or acetic acid. Cleaners containing chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite) must be avoided as well. Please observe the maximum permissible exposure time indicated by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent. It is important to rinse the fitting/sprayer with clear water after each cleaning to remove all residues of the cleaning agent. When rinsing is finished, dry the fitting/sprayer.

To reduce susceptibility to fingerprints, we recommend applying a thin coat of stainless steel protective oil. It is important to use the oil sparingly and apply it evenly. This protective coating should be refreshed regularly as needed. 

Daily cleaning should be done using a soft, non-abrasive cotton cloth or sponge. The best approach is to lightly moisten the cleaning cloth, rinse the finish with water, and then rub dry.
When removing stains, a commercially available neutral all-purpose cleaner like Frosch Universal Cleaner should be used. Please do not use “salad” vinegar to remove limescale. It is better to do this with a commercially available cleaner, for example Procter & Gamble limescale remover. Simply soak a cloth with the cleaning agent and place it on the affected area (exposure time < 1h). The finish is resistant to all common household acids and alkaline solutions temporarily, but these should be rinsed off with water immediately after use. 
Please note that although our sinks are extremely robust due to the exceptional material properties of the enameled steel, traces of usage and slight abrasion marks are not unusual on the finish when the sink is used daily. These can be easily removed with a commercial enamel cleaner (e.g. “Email-Star” from Cramer) and a damp sponge.
